The Royal London One Day Cup will begin on August 2, with four matches scheduled for the opening day. Champions Glamorgan beginning their title defense against Derbyshire on August 2- here’s where you can watch the 2022 tournament, including the live streaming details.

There are 18 teams participating in the Royal London Cup 2022 were they are divided into Group A and Group B at random. Each group consists of nine teams after the draws, with each county scheduled to play eight league games. They will play four matches at home, and four away. The top three sides from each group will advance to the next stage. The teams will feature in the National County on July 31 ahead of the Royal London Cup 2022. 

The teams participating in the Royal London Cup 2022 include –

Group A: Durham, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire, Middlesex, Nottinghamshire, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex, Warwickshire

Group B: Derbyshire, Essex, Glamorgan, Hampshire, Kent, Lancashire, Northamptonshire, Worcestershire, Yorkshire

Royal London One-Day Cup 2022 Format

  • The groups were randomly drawn with each county to play eight group-stages matches, four at home and four away.
  • The top three counties at the end of the group stage progress to the knockout stages.
  • The two first-placed counties progress directly to a home semi-final on 30 August.
  • The second-placed teams will host the third-placed team in the opposite group in the playoffs on 26 August, with the winners progressing to the semi-finals.

The final of the London One Day Cup 2022 will be played on 17 September at Trent Bridge, 18 days after the final.
